A Boone County judge sentenced 25-year-old Darius Lucas to life in prison without the possibility of parole. He is also set to serve an additional 100 years for two counts of armed criminal action. A 43-year-old man from Camdenton was arrested on Saturday for sodomy and child molestation. Gregory Floyd Bates was arrested and charged with felony first degree sodomy with a victim less that 12-years-old and felony first degree child molestation. Bates’ has a $1,000,000 cash only bond.

Callaway County deputies arrested two people Sunday afternoon after a traffic stop with an ATV in the 800 block of County Road 245 near Auxvasse. Deputies said the driver, Harold Smith, had a revoked license. Deputies checked the ATV’s VIN number and learned it was reported stolen out of Callaway County earlier in the month.
