Weather Alert Day: Tracking accumulating snow left this morning

The ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather team has issued a Weather Alert Day into Wednesday morning. Light snow accumulation is expected overnight, especially for locations east of Highway 63.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for parts of Mid-Missouri through Wednesday morning.

Snow is expected to taper off by mid-morning Wednesday, and temperatures stay near freezing during the day. Untreated areas will still be slick or slushy given the temperatures.

Locations along I-70 will be in the 1-1.5 inch range, with a dusting to an inch possible south of Highway 50. The highest snow amounts will be further northeast, where 2-3" of snow is expected.

Winds pick up overnight to around 25 mph through Wednesday, dropping wind chills into the upper teens and low 20s.
