Tracking increasing rain chances through the week

TONIGHT: Clouds increase as we move through the evening, temperatures dropping into the mid 50s overnight.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy in the afternoon with a chance for scattered showers towards the dinner hour. We could see heavier rainfall south of I-70. Temperatures remain in the low 80s.

EXTENDED: A wet week is in store across mid-Missouri, particularly in some of our southern counties. After Tuesday showers subside, Wednesday looks to be the driest day until the weekend, though there is still a solid chance (30 to 40%) for some brief scattered rainfall. Thursday afternoon and evening brings about more prolonged rainfall, mainly in southwestern Missouri, though some models indicate it could stretch towards central and northern parts of the state. Expect this precipitation to continue through the overnight hours and into Friday morning, where most of the viewing area can expect a wet start to their day. Things finally taper off Friday evening, and we'll finally get an extended period of dryness and sunshine next weekend. Temperatures continue to hover around the low 80s, with the weekend looking a touch cooler.
