Tracking clouds and a few spot showers overnight
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with a few showers overnight. Lows in the mid-upper 60s.
TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers and storms increasing by afternoon. Highs in the upper 70s to around 80.
EXTENDED: The pattern begins to get a bit more active over the next several days as upper level high pressure moves to the east as we progress through the rest of the week. We'll be on the western edge of this with southwest winds aloft pulling in more moisture to the region along with disturbances that trigger rounds of rain. A few showers will be possible overnight, but we'll have a better shot at seeing scattered showers and a few thunderstorms on Thursday afternoon into Thursday night. Friday starts off dry, allowing temperatures to get into the low 80s. However, umbrellas will be needed for high school football with showers and a few rumbles of thunder possible. A cold front starts to progress eastward over the weekend, bringing showers and a few thunderstorms on Saturday into Sunday, but rain chances drop dramatically as it exits on Sunday. Low pressure sitting over us early next week will keep scattered clouds overhead along with spot showers, but temperatures will be more fall like in the lower 70s for the first half of the week. As this system moves east late in the week, temperatures begin to warm back into the 80s by next weekend as upper winds shift back southwest.
