Tracking strong storms with heavy rain, damaging winds tomorrow
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers and storms possible. Lows in the low 60s.
TOMORROW: Showers possible early, becoming quite warm with highs in the upper 70s to around 80 degrees. A few scattered strong storms are possible in the afternoon, with more widespread severe storms by evening.
EXTENDED: Instability will increase across the area on Thursday ahead of a cold front that will bring continued chances of storms through the weekend. There could be a few strong storms by late afternoon ahead of the front that could bring an initial hail and tornado threat, but the main concern will be with widespread storms Thursday night that could produce damaging winds between 60-70 mph. The front tries to move a bit more south on Friday before retreating back north for the weekend. Storm chances continue through early Sunday, leaving us with 1.5" to 2" of rainfall by Sunday evening. Temperatures remain in the upper 70s each day, and we start off next week dry and consistently warm.
