Rain sticks around
TUESDAY: Rainy conditions in our southern counties will start to die out, but cloud cover will largely stay in the area. Highs will only warm into the mid 50s for the day.
TONIGHT: Residents in our southern counties could see a few showers once again tonight, and coverage looks to stay south of I-70. Even with rain around, lows will only fall to near 50 tonight.
EXTENDED: Warmth finally makes it into the area for our Wednesday with a warm front pushing us back into the 60s. We could see showers and storms as this front pushes through tomorrow, with a few of those storms turning out to be strong. With the warm front to our north Thursday, we'll see another day with a favorable environment for some storms. Again, some of these could become strong to severe with large hail and damaging wind gusts the primary threats. A third round in as many days appears possible Friday. Flooding could become a concern by the weekend. Rainfall amounts look to be in the 1-2” neighborhood but much more could become a problem. Be sure to check back later this week as details continue to be ironed out.
