Cool weekend ahead

TODAY: Partly cloudy skies may allow for some sunshine to filter in, but highs will still remain in the upper 40s.

TONIGHT: Overnight, clouds will build ahead of the next system which will move through beginning early on Sunday. Lows will be in the mid 30s.

EXTENDED: Sunday morning will be fairly dreary with widespread rain chances across the area. Some of us, especially in the northern portion of the viewing area, could see some snow flurries mixing in with the rain. Any accumulation is expected to be light and remain on grassy surfaces. We won't warm all too well on Sunday, with highs staying in the lower 40s, but a warm-up will begin for us on Monday. By midweek, things will be quite comfortable with temperatures in the 60s. Our next chance after Sunday to see some rain will be on Tuesday.
