Tracking a cold rain for most of Saturday

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and chilly. Rain moving in late. Lows in the mid-30s.

SATURDAY: Rain likely. Wet snow showers mixing in north of Highway 24. Some locations near Macon and along Highway 36 could get a dusting of snow. Highs in the upper 30s.

EXTENDED: Showers come to an end Saturday evening, leaving us with a drier end to the weekend on Sunday. Temperatures top out in the mid-upper 40s. Next week looks very unsettled with a southwest flow aloft, sending more moisture and energy our way. Expect nearly daily rain chances, and gradually warming temperatures through the week. By late week, a closed low pressure system will move in our direction, bringing the possibility of more robust or even severe thunderstorms around this time with temperatures getting into the 60s.
