Tracking mild, spring-like weekend temperatures

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with a chance for a few sprinkles. Lows in the upper 20s to around 30.

FRIDAY: Partly to mostly cloudy with a chance of flurries or sprinkles. Highs in the mid-40s.

EXTENDED: Friday's clipper system dives southeast, clearing out skies from south to north on Friday night into Saturday. Winds shift around to the southwest as well, increasing temperatures by quite a bit Saturday afternoon, along with sunshine. Highs reach the upper 50s to lower 60s. Clouds move back in Sunday in advance of our next cold front moving in from the north. We stay dry and mild during the day as temperatures climb into the low 60s. Rain returns for many on Monday as the cold front slides south. There could be a few rumbles of thunder as well. Rain transitions more south on Tuesday, with the best chances along and south of I-70 where 1-2" is possible between Monday and Wednesday. Rain wraps up later on Wednesday with highs in the upper 40s to around 50 the rest of next week.
