Tracking snow, ice, and rain for Friday, expect slick roads
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy, snow moves in from the southwest after midnight. Lows in the mid-upper 20s.
FRIDAY: Snow changes to freezing rain by late morning, lasting into the afternoon. A tenth to a quarter inch of ice accumulation is possible. Freezing rain changes to rain by mid-evening as temperatures rise above freezing. Lows in the mid-30s.
EXTENDED: Showers come to an end early Saturday morning, but gusty winds hang on for much of the day. Temperatures drop from the 30s early in the day to the 20s by late afternoon. Sunday will be bitterly cold with wind chills in the single digits to below zero as winds continue to be blustery. Highs only make it to the 20s. Wind chills will still be below zero on Monday morning, but temperatures improve by the middle of next week, with more rain possible by Wednesday into Thursday.
