TODAY: Wednesday is an ABC17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day. We expect a line of thunderstorms near Kansas City early this morning, to slowly work east. Ahead of it, our nocturnal low level jet will be ramping up, and aiding the already fast winds. This will help enhance shear and potentially sustain better low level instability.
TONIGHT: Increasing clouds with strong storms overnight. Storms could produce hail and damaging winds through early Wednesday morning. Winds could gust to 35 mph overnight. TOMORROW: Scattered storms early, with a few severe storms through late afternoon. Warm and very breezy with highs in the upper 70s and south wind gusts up to 45 mph.
TODAY: Tuesday afternoon welcomes some isolated chances of showers and storms, but most of the region remains dry as highs top out into the mid-60s.
