Tracking the chance for a stormy week

TODAY: We start out our work week with a fairly dry day and temperatures reaching the upper 80s. We'll hang out to partly cloudy skies for most of the day, with low chances of storms heading into the afternoon.

TONIGHT: As we head into the night, temperatures are expected to drop to the lower 70s. Storm chances still exist, but will remain fairly weak until we reach Tuesday.

EXTENDED: Looking towards the rest of the week, our storm chances don't go away. We have the greatest chance for storms this upcoming Tuesday, with the possibility of gusty winds and lightning. This is because we have an opportunity for convection with a low level trough making its way through the region. Storm chances stick around for majority of the week and into the weekend, but Tuesday yield the greatest chance. None of these storms are expected to become severe, just be prepared for heavy rainfall.
