Tracking a wet start to the week, long awaited cool down

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and cool with lows in the mid-upper 50s.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy early with highs in the low to mid-70s. Rain and storms arriving late, with pockets of heavy rain and gusty winds possible.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking a cloudy start to the week ahead of showers and storms that move in by Monday evening ahead of a cold front tied to low pressure to our north. A few storms could initially be strong, especially west of Highway 63 late on Monday night with a level 1/5 severe risk in place. The main concern would be isolated heavy rain and strong winds into early Tuesday morning. Showers and storms continue on Tuesday, with rain amounts totaling around 1-1.5". We'll remain cloudy with low pressure slow to exit the region on Wednesday, and highs falling to the 60s for the rest of the week. We'll begin to clear for the end of the week with slightly above average temperatures in the mid-upper 60s through next weekend.
