Tracking thunderstorms to start the weekend

TODAY: Thunderstorms will move through for most of the morning and settle down a little bit by the afternoon. Temperatures will be a bit warmer with a high in the low 60s. Winds will be high with gusts possible up to 40 mph. Another round of thunderstorms is possible tonight as a cold front moves through. Conditions with these storms could become severe with high wind and intense storm cells.

SUNDAY: Showers could continue just after midnight but settle down by Sunday morning. The cold front passing through will leave us much cooler with a high in the mid-50s and breezes sticking around. Expect a much more pleasant day with plenty of sunshine!

EXTENDED: Storm chances vanish for the beginning of next week as conditions will stay favorable. The sun will be shining and temperatures will stick to the 50s for the start of the week. We'll approach the mid-60s by Thursday as the sun stays out and the weather stays calm.
