Tracking a breezy Mother’s Day
SUNDAY: As we wake up this Sunday morning, the majority of the showers that moved through overnight have cleared out of the area, leaving us dry for the remainder of the day. The wind will be the biggest story today with breezes sustaining at 15-20 mph. Highs will be in the upper 50s and lower 60s.
TONIGHT: Winds will begin to calm as we move into the work-week, but the evening will be chilly with lows in the mid 30s. You may want to cover your gardens and plants as we are tracking the possibility for some patchy frost as we head into our Monday morning.
EXTENDED: This week will start out well below average with temperatures in the upper 50s, but by mid-week, we'll start a warming trend. We'll actually end the week with above-average temperatures when all is said and done. These rollercoaster temperature changes will be accompanied by rain chances nearly every day, with the first chance for showers rolling in on Monday afternoon. This system will linger into Tuesday morning, especially in our southern counties. Wednesday brings yet another chance for rain, and Thursday and Friday are showing potential for showers and storms.
