Tracking a gradual warm-up with plenty of sunshine through the week

TODAY: I'm tracking a cool start to the day in the low 40s, with patchy steam fog over river valleys and lake areas being a possibility. By the afternoon, sunshine will mix in with mid-to-upper-level cloud cover, with southeasterly winds at 5-10 mph. Temperatures will top out in the upper 60s and low 70s.

TONIGHT: I'm tracking some upper-level clouds sticking around overnight as a light breeze out of the southeast continues. By dawn tomorrow, temperatures will have dropped back into the mid-40s.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking another mild afternoon as temperatures warm back into the low 70s on Tuesday. Some clouds will pass by overnight, but by Wednesday, fully sunny conditions will return. This will boost temperatures into the mid-70s by Wednesday afternoon, then closer to the upper 70s by Thursday and Friday after starting in the upper 40s and low 50s each morning. By the weekend, slightly more clouds will be present as temperatures continue to warm into the upper 70s each day.
