Tracking a mostly dry and mild summer weekend ahead

TODAY: I'm tracking a mostly sunny day as temperatures begin in the upper 60s and low 70s. By the afternoon hours, a few clouds can be expected with very isolated chances for showers and storms as temperatures warm into the mid-80s. Winds will be out of the north at 5-10 mph throughout the day.

TONIGHT: I'm tracking mostly clear conditions continuing as temperatures drop back down into the low 60s by the end of the night. Winds will continue to blow out of the north at 4-8 mph.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking increasing clouds throughout Sunday, which will help keep temperatures from getting too much past the low 80s by the afternoon hours. This increase in cloud cover is ahead of a slightly better potential for showers and storms overnight into Monday morning, which, although it will not be widespread, is expected to linger throughout the day as temperatures once again warm into the low 80s. Very limited chances for more precipitation are expected the rest of the week, so most will continue to stay dry and mild as temperatures gradually warm back into the mid to upper 80s.
