Tracking low rain chances tonight, triple-digit heat this weekend

TONIGHT: Isolated storms north of I-70, with warm temperatures in the low 80s and upper 70s.

TOMORROW: Showers through midmorning, then mostly sunny midday, with a heat index up to 105. Scattered storms may redevelop in the evening, but there will be plenty of dry time.

EXTENDED: The weekend will feature triple-digit heat and a few chances for storms, mostly overnight and in the morning. A cold front will finally arrive by Sunday evening, bringing storms and a cooldown into Monday. Highs briefly drop into the 80s, then we see-saw to the low 90s quickly midweek ahead of more rain chances and another cool down late week.
