Tracking a chilly night with patchy frost, warmer Sunday

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cold with lows in the mid-upper 30s. Areas across northeast Missouri could have some patchy frost. Cover any sensitive plants overnight.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 60s.

EXTENDED: After a very active week, we'll have a stretch of pleasant, quiet weather marked by sunshine and warmer temperatures. Northwest upper flow will keep temperatures near average on Sunday, but high pressure begins to shift winds more southerly through the week, keeping skies quiet and temperatures warmer. We'll climb into the 70s through Tuesday before reaching near 80 by midweek. Active weather returns late in the week as low pressure works across the Plains, with a chance for rain and storms returning between Thursday and Friday. Next weekend is looking quieter with a slight cool down as highs drop into the mid-60s.
