Tracking showers and flurries ahead of a push of colder air
TODAY: I'm tracking temperatures starting in the upper-20s and low-30s across the area, with frost being a possibility on some surfaces. Temperatures will warm into the low-40s by the afternoon hours as winds blow out of the southeast at 5-8 mph with gusts up to 12 mph. Clouds will be gradually increasing throughout the day.
TONIGHT: I'm tracking light, spotty showers entering the area after sundown, with light flurries potentially mixing into this precipitation for areas near and north of Macon. If any flurries are observed, accumulation is not expected. Temperatures will cool into the mid-30s by the end of the night, meaning that the freezing of this precipitation will not be expected through the overnight hours.
EXTENDED: I'm tracking the high temperature for Sunday occurring in the early morning hours. This means that temperatures will start in the mid to upper-30s during early Sunday morning, and gradually drop into the mid-20s by the afternoon hours. This will be thanks to breezy northerly winds, at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph, ushering in colder air. Clouds will briefly exit the region Monday morning, leading to a chilly start to the day with temperatures in the teens. A warmup will be noticed by Tuesday as temperatures warm into the upper-40s by the afternoon hours, but cooler weather will make a return for the second half of the week as more chances of precipitation are on the way.
