Tracking milder temperatures ahead of a wintry mix this weekend

TONIGHT: Cloudy and cold, with temperatures falling into the 30s after sunset and lows dropping to the mid-20s.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy and mild with afternoon temperatures in the low 40s. Light precipitation is possible on Saturday evening, with a mix of rain and snow north of I-70, and rain favored further south. Accumulations will be light if we see any, with a dusting or slightly more in places like Macon, Paris, Vandalia, and Mexico.

EXTENDED: Rain or flurries come to an end early Sunday morning, before sunrise for most. Temperatures drop the entire day on Sunday, starting out in the mid-30s and falling to the 20s in the afternoon. Skies will be sunny again on Monday, but temperatures will be near or below freezing all day. We bounce back to the 40s on Tuesday and Wednesday as the pattern remains active through the middle of next week.
