Tracking flurries tomorrow and a blast of arctic air
TONIGHT: Clear until sunset, then clouds return overnight. Lows drop into the lower 20s with wind chills in the upper teens.
TOMORROW: Wednesday will be cloudy, but temperatures will rise to the upper 30s in the afternoon. Flurries are possible in the afternoon and evening, with trace amounts for some, and little impact on traffic.
EXTENDED: Frigid air moves in Wednesday night, dropping temperatures to the lower teens and possibly single digits when we wake up Thursday. Wind chills could be near zero degrees, at least in the low single digits. Highs on Thursday will remain below freezing in the 20s, and temperatures will drop back to the teens Thursday night. Conditions will improve somewhat by the end of the week as highs return to the upper 30s, but temperatures will still be nearly ten degrees below average. Light precipitation is possible over the weekend, which could bring a brief wintry mix to the area, but this will likely be a low-impact event.
