Tracking severe storms today and a cooler weekend

THIS AFTERNOON: Friday is an ABC17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day for severe storms. Read our latest blog for more details. Today will be sunny and warm ahead of the storms with a high near 80. A line of severe storms tracks through Mid-Missouri between 4 to 8 pm with all severe hazards possible.

TONIGHT: Isolated showers may linger overnight as temperatures fall to the 50s.

EXTENDED: The weekend will be dry and cooler with highs back in the 60s on Saturday, and closer to seasonal averages in the 50s on Sunday. Temperatures rebound into the 70s early next week ahead of our next rain chance on Wednesday.
