TODAY: Monday is a cloudy day, with temperatures expected in the 30s for highs. We'll have a cold front tonight that will take us even cooler tonight into Tuesday. It will also bring a chance for snow.

TONIGHT: A passing low to our south will drag a wind shift through the region, but will also bring a chance for snow showers beginning as soon as midnight. Precipitation will be all snow where it falls, but not all of us are likely to see snow.

EXTENDED: Starting in the 20s, Tuesday will be chilly and dry for some, but where snow is falling, some minor accumulations may be on the ground by morning. The best chance for this and an overall total of a trace to two inches will be along and south of HWY 50. This will be a light accumulation, which will likely leave Columbia and Jefferson city with minor accumulations at best. The best chance at two inches will be near the Lake of the Ozarks. By Midday Tuesday, the snow will wrap up, leaving high temperatures near freezing. Wednesday morning we dip back into the 20s. Snow will begin again Wednesday morning, by sunrise. With A more favorable track for heavy snow in mid-Missouri, we have issued an ABC17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day for Wednesday. Heavy snow will create travel disruptions. This system will exit by Thursday morning, leaving us with cold air, but some sunshine. Expect highs on Wednesday and Thursday in the 20s, with a return to near 40 Friday and Saturday.
