Tracking rain moving in overnight, soggy Thursday
TONIGHT: Increasing clouds and staying above freezing with lows in the mid-30s.
TOMORROW: Scattered to widespread showers with a few rumbles of thunder near the Lake of the Ozarks. Highs in the upper 40s.
EXTENDED: Low pressure will push showers into areas near the Lake of the Ozarks before sunrise tomorrow morning, with rain becoming widespread throughout the day. Temperatures will be slightly cooler with highs in the upper 40s, and showers becoming more hit and miss overnight into Friday. By Friday morning, the center of low pressure starts to work to the northeast, leaving us with clouds and dry air before the back edge of the system pulls some wrap-around showers through Mid-Missouri. Rain looks to exit shortly after midday, leaving us with clouds and highs in the upper 40s. Expect gusty winds out of the southwest behind this system on Friday afternoon. We'll get about 0.5" to 0.75" of rainfall through Friday afternoon. The weekend looks excellent with partial sunshine and highs in the mid-50s Saturday and even warmer on Sunday with a warm front lifting to our north, sending highs into the 60s. A cold front moves through between Sunday and Monday, dropping us back to near 50 on Monday. Next week looks cooler with temperatures near our seasonal averages and rain chances picking back up by mid-week.
