Tracking the coldest temperatures of the week tomorrow morning

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and frigid with lows a few degrees below zero. Wind chills between -10 and -20 degrees by daybreak.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and cold with highs in the low teens. Wind chills near zero or just above.

EXTENDED: Wind chills fall to about 10 to 20 degrees below zero by daybreak with a Cold Weather Advisory in place for all of Mid-Missouri until noon tomorrow. Wind chills only top out a few degrees above zero even by late afternoon tomorrow, but a wind shift will allow a strong southwest breeze to warm us up overnight. We'll see our lowest temperature around midnight, with gradual warming into the upper teens to around 20 by daybreak Wednesday. Wednesday will be warmer, but near average for January with highs in the mid-30s. Wednesday night into Thursday, a fast moving cold front will bring clouds and a chance at flurries, but no measurable impacts or accumulation is expected. Thursday will be in the low to mid-30s with lows in the upper teens as a reinforcing shot of cold air sets in for Friday morning. Friday afternoon will be seasonably cool with highs in the 30s. The weekend is looking warmer with passing clouds and highs in the 40s. Low pressure to our south may bring rain to the Lake area on Saturday night into Sunday.
