Tracking one more day of heat

TODAY: Partly cloudy with highs near 90 degrees. Winds out of the southwest could gust over 20 mph.

TOMORROW: Much cooler as temperatures top out in the 70s. A dry front will switch winds out of the north and keep gusts above 20 mph at times.

EXTENDED: Temperatures will plummet below average next week, with highs in the lower 60s. Overnight lows drop to the 30s, and this could produce the first frost of the season on Tuesday or Wednesday morning. We have a better chance on Wednesday right now with lighter winds forecast. A warmup is looming later in the week but will likely only bring us back to the 70s. Rain chances are finally picking up next weekend, but they are too far away to discern details.
