Tracking Spotty Rain Chances and Summer Heat Returning
TONIGHT: I'm tracking a gradual increase in cloud cover with the low possibility to run into light rain throughout the evening. Temperatures will drop into the low 70s by the end of the night and winds will be out of the southeast at 5-8 mph.
TOMORROW: I'm tracking a better shot at rainfall from the west during the morning hours. As this shifts east it will fall apart, leaving us with a mix of clouds and sunshine throughout the rest of the afternoon. Temperatures will warm up into the mid to upper 80s with winds out of the east at 5-8 mph.
EXTENDED: I'm tracking another shot at morning rain to the east Sunday morning before the story shifts to the return of summer-like heat. By the afternoon on Sunday, temperatures will be in the low 90s and dewpoints will be making it feel even warmer. The trend of higher humidity and temperatures in the low to mid 90s continues through Wednesday before a cold front that is expected to pass through on Thursday. This will be our next best shot at more widespread rainfall and will bump us back down into the mid 80s by Friday.
