Tracking heat and humidity before a big cool down by midweek

TONIGHT: Mostly clear with lows in the lower 70s.

TOMORROW: Hot and humid with highs in the upper 90s and a heat index near 100.

EXTENDED: The pattern remains hot and humid with upper high pressure in place for the next couple of days, allowing temperatures to rise into the mid-90s. Dew points in the upper 60s will send heat indices to near 100 through Tuesday before a dry cold front moves in from the north and drops temperatures dramatically. We can expect a mostly dry week with temperatures in the mid-80s by Wednesday through the weekend, and overnight lows in the low to mid-60s.
