Tracking rain and storms to start the week

TONIGHT: I'm tracking a line of storms that will move east into more central portions of Missouri by 4-7 PM. Highest concern with these storms are lightning and heavy downpours, but some storms could produce gusty winds and small hail stones.

TOMORROW: I'm tracking storms dissipating throughout the morning but a mix of clouds and sunshine will last through the afternoon before more scattered storms form to the south in the evening. Temperatures will warm up into the low 80s and winds will be from the southwest at 5-7 mph.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking the potential for more widespread rainfall Tuesday through Wednesday as the remnants of tropical storm Beryl continues to the northeast. The most likely areas to see impacts from this system will be the southern half of Missouri. Impacts associated with this system will be heavy rainfall. A dry and warmer pattern will then become apparent by Friday as temperatures warm into the upper 80s.
