Tracking both dry skies and air the rest of the work week
TODAY: Rain comes to an end in mid-Missouri for the most part by around sunrise, with a few spotty showers in the east near Montgomery city through 9 a.m. Clouds will clear with the rain, making for a partly cloudy morning, and sunny afternoon. Temperatures climb into the low 80s, with a notable drop in dewpoints into the low 50s giving a drier feel to the air.
TONIGHT: We'll stay mostly dry tonight, and mostly clear, but another very weak cold front will bring a chance for a few very light showers north of Columbia overnight. Hardly anyone in mid-Missouri actually sees rain from this.
EXTENDED: Temperatures start near 60, and climb another 20 degrees into the 80s under mostly sunny skies with continued low humidity. We'll feel dry again on Friday as well for another sunny day in the low 80s. Rain chances return Friday night into Saturday. Showers and a few rumbles will be highly uncertain in terms of track and timing, but rain chances are growing, and we'll likely be a bit cooler as a result. A high in the upper70s is possible, but with lesser rain chances on Sunday, highs are forecast to return to low 80s. Monday looks drier, with a few clouds, but still a high near 80. Another rain chance returns Tuesday.
