Tracking dry time ahead of strong storms

TODAY: Saturday will be the best time to get outside this weekend with highs up to 80 degrees and light winds. The UV index reaches an 8 which can cause sunburn in about a half hour.

TOMORROW: Sunday is an ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day for the return of severe storms. The first round tracks in from 3 to 9 a.m. from west to east bringing a high wind threat and a possible tornado. Severe storms could redevelop as early as noon and continue through 7 p.m. tracking to the southeast Sunday evening. Hail is a threat with storms but less concerning compared to other risks. Flooding may also accompany any heavy downpours.

EXTENDED: Rain and clouds clear out by Memorial Day and temperatures still reach up to 80 degrees. Next week looks to remain mild and dry through the second half of the workweek with repeat daily highs up to the 80-degree mark.
