Tracking more storms into late week

TODAY: Temperatures will be cooler and pleasant in the 70s behind a cold front. Isolated to scattered storms develop across the southeastern half of the area this afternoon but will remain weaker.

TONIGHT: Lows remain elevated in the upper 50s to 60s with clouds lingering. Another round of storms redevelops in the same areas to the southeast after sundown.

EXTENDED: Thursday is mostly dry after overnight showers wrap up during the early morning. A warm front lifts through the region, pushing temperatures back into the 80s, and bringing a chance for storms in the evening into the overnight. Severe weather is not expected to be prevalent, but an isolated strong storm cannot be ruled out. A cold front will follow quickly from the west on Friday morning. Morning storms may become strong to severe into the afternoon on Friday. Saturday is then mostly dry and cooler in the 70s. Storms return with our next system on Sunday which could bring the highest severe risk of the week.
