Tracking a quiet Thursday, more storms by Friday

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy and cool with lows in the mid-upper 50s.

TOMORROW: Partly to mostly sunny with highs in the lower 80s.

EXTENDED: Tomorrow starts off in the 50s with afternoon highs topping 80 degrees again by late afternoon. Late Thursday night into Friday, we'll be tracking another system that will bring a front through Mid-Missouri and the chance for widespread showers and storms that move in by morning. Some of those could have isolated gusty winds and small hail, but the overall severe risk will be lower, at a 1/5 for our area. Showers and storms exit as the cold front passes east on Friday night, leaving us with a beautiful start to the weekend on Saturday. High pressure keeps things sunny and comfortable as highs get into the upper 70s to around 80. Another complex of storms is expected to move in late Saturday night into Sunday, posing a potential severe threat. We could see another round of rain and storms on Sunday wherever that front ends up after the morning round. We could have some dry time on Monday, but will need to watch for a few showers and storms as yet another disturbance rolls through. Highs reach the 80s on Sunday and fall back into the upper 70s on Memorial Day. Rain amounts through Monday will be between 1-2".
