Tracking more dry time Sunday, severe storms early this week

TODAY: Sunday will be mostly dry again to get outside but anyone with plans at the Lake should remain aware of showers and storms this afternoon. These could track in from the south by midafternoon at the earliest, with rain staying south of I-70 through the evening. Highs today remain comfortable in the lower 70s.

TOMORROW: Monday also starts dry and highs will rise to the warmer end of the 70s. A warm front lifts through the area but rain chances are low until late Monday night.

EXTENDED: A line of strong to severe storms is expected to track in from the west late Monday into Tuesday. While overnight timing reduces our threat somewhat, damaging winds and a few tornadoes are possible with these storms. Have multiple ways to receive weather information with this overnight system. More severe weather is possible Tuesday and Wednesday depending on how the days prior play out.
