The south faces widespread damages as severe storms continue to cascade through

Although light showers have affected portions of Mid-Missouri throughout the day, the main action has occurred in Southeastern United States throughout the past 24 hours.

Hundreds of reports ranging from strong winds, large hail, flash flooding, to even tornadoes have poured in throughout the past 24 hours. A deep low pressure system sliding through the Southeast has caused storm damage from Eastern Texas to Alabama.

Flash flooding has lead to roadways in New Orleans, Louisiana becoming river-ways as cars were stranded with multiple feet of water covering roadways. Some areas even seeing radar estimates well over half a foot.

The same low pressure system causing these damaging severe storms to the Southeast has lead to lighter showers in portions of Mid-Missouri. Thankfully, Mid-Missouri is only seeing the wrap-around rainfall from the backside of this passing low pressure system.

This low pressures system is expected to travel off to the northeast throughout the next 24 hours lead for storm pushing through portions of Florida and even further up towards the Carolinas'.

Storm damage from all across Texas continue to be documented from the same single low pressure system pushing across the Gulf Coast.

A suspected tornado has passed through Slidell, Louisiana causing damage to homes and trees.
