Tracking a rain and snow mix with more chances lasting through Friday am

TODAY: A scattered rain and snow mixture will remain with us here in Mid-Missouri lasting through out the daytime hours. Highs warm into the mid-30s. Roadways are expected to see little to no accumulations of snowfall. Wet and at most slushy roadways will have lower impact on travel Wednesday, but grassy accumulations up to 1" remain possible Wednesday.

TONIGHT: Snowfall continues throughout much of the night lasting until midnight. Overnight lows cool tot he lower 30s. Re-freeze on elevated surfaces remains possible on roadways from any pooling water so make sure to be vigilante of isolated black ice pockets on bridges.

EXTENDED: Most of Thursday remains dry as highs reach into the upper 30s approaching nearly 40 degrees. Thursday afternoon after 6 pm sees a return of mostly snow showers that looks to last through noon Friday before pushing east. Snowfall totals into the eastern half of Mid-Missouri expanding from Columbia east back towards St. Louis could see snowfall totals anywhere from 1"-2" with road temperatures cooling leading to low to moderate travel impacts for Friday mornings commute.
