Tracking fair weather with hints at rain this weekend
TODAY: Wednesday will be a slightly warmer day, despite more clouds. Expect a cloudy start to the day, with highs near 50 and a few peeks at sunshine through the afternoon.
TONIGHT: Clouds are clearing overnight. With a southerly breeze, temperatures should land near 30 again early Thursday. Calm spots may allow for upper 20s. This will be a good opportunity to catch the Geminids meteor shower!
EXTENDED: Thursday will be brighter and warmer, with sunshine and mid-50s forecast. Southerly flow continues well into Friday, keeping us in the mid-to-upper 50s to end the work week. Clouds will increase on Friday, leaving us mostly cloudy. These clouds are a precursor to a low pressure system aloft that is expected to pass on Saturday. Confidence is low on whether or not this will bring rain, and if it does, the exact timing. However, with the passing low pressure and limited moisture in place, we'll keep a low (20%) chance of rain in the forecast for Saturday. This may arrive Friday night, or trickle over into Sunday, but Saturday is the current focus of most tracks of this system. Stay tuned for more details, but this system is not expected to be impactful. Dry and mild weather builds back in early next week, with highs forecast near 50.
