Tracking a warm and sunny Thursday

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and chilly with lows in the lower 30s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and warm with highs well above average in the mid-upper 50s.

EXTENDED: We'll be clear overnight with lows in the lower 30s, great for viewing the peak of the Geminid meteor shower. Tomorrow will be the nicest day of the week with highs in the mid-50s and sunshine before we see some weekend changes. Clouds roll in on Friday ahead of low pressure, but we still get into the mid-50s by late afternoon with a southeasterly breeze. Low pressure skirts by to our south, and another Canadian low pressure system dives just to our north, bringing a cold front through on Saturday. A few showers are possible Saturday due to these features, but don't expect a wash out by any means. Rain amounts will end up under 0.25". Weekend temperatures will hover right around 50, and the jet stream lifts north with upper high pressure building for much of next week again. That will keep us precipitation-free and warmer than normal through most of the week.
