Tracking drier conditions before a near average Thanksgiving Thursday
TODAY: By mid-morning to noon, our cloud deck will start to lift, and we may even get an hour or two of some broken skies. Some brief sunshine won't do much to warm us, as we're expecting highs in the mid-to-upper 40s at best. Clouds will thicken again towards the late afternoon, and bring another chance at some sprinkles, but largely meaningless rain. No more measurable rain is expected today.
TONIGHT: Low clouds hang on overnight, and may keep our temperatures in the low 30s, but upper 20s are still possible.
EXTENDED: Skies clear through the morning Wednesday, and with more southerly wind, sunshine is able to return temperatures into the upper 40s. This warm up carries us into Thanksgiving, where highs are forecast in the 50s. A dry cold front moves in later in the day Thursday, to drop highs into the 40s the rest of the week, and into the next. A quick passing wave aloft may generate a bout of light precipitation Saturday night into Sunday, but it's too early to determine whether this will be all rain, or if we could see a wintry mix, given our expected temperature spread.
