Tracking mild and dry conditions lasting through tomorrow

TONIGHT: Conditions cool efficiently overnight to the lower 60s, which could produce fog in low-lying areas.

TOMORROW: More sunshine is on the way Tuesday, while temperatures remain below average in the lower 80s. Spotty rain is possible to our north, but Mid-MO will likely stay entirely dry.

EXTENDED: Rain returns quickly into Wednesday with strong storms rolling through in the morning. This activity is likely subsevere in the early part of the day, but more storms are possible in the afternoon. It's uncertain how the morning rain will impact our severe risk, as current trends suggest a robust wind setup could lead to redevelopment despite less energy availability. Afternoon storms are most likely in southern Missouri, with all severe hazards possible. The end of the week could have more rain chances, but these are much lower than our expected activity on Wednesday.
