COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou Athletics announced that it has partnered up with Learfield for what the department said is a 'historic' sponsorship deal, on Friday.

With that new deal comes a new look to the uniforms for football and olympic sports, as the Tigers will wear an 'Ambetter Health' patch on their jerseys. MU is just the third Southeastern Conference team to decide to add a patch to its jersey, but it's becoming a trend around college football, as more than 20 teams in the FBS have done so, so far.

This will include all Tiger sports except for men's and women's basketball, as those will be done in a separate deal.

Mizzou Athletics also announced naming rights for both of Memorial Stadium's end zone facilities, on Friday. EquipmentShare owns the rights for the North End Zone Premium club and Multipli Credit Union has the naming rights to the South End Zone's premium space. The department will also continue to feature on-field branding, as Shelter Insurance and EquipmentShare logos will appear on Faurot Field. Those brands are now joining MU Health Care in the Diamond Club.

“In less than three years, we have more than doubled our sponsorship revenue with over 130% growth, establishing significant NIL resources to help our teams secure the talent to compete for championships,” said Mizzou Athletic Director Laird Veatch said in a press release. “That investment reflects the momentum and strength of the Mizzou brand and demonstrates the value we’re creating for our partners. We have asked the major corporate brands in our great state to seize this opportunity to partner with us to continue elevating our university brand and state economy – and many of those brands are responding in record fashion. We are incredibly grateful to these partners, and to our Learfield colleagues at Mizzou Sports Properties, and proud of the momentum we’re building together."

"As we continue to build these powerful partnerships across Missouri, we’re grateful for the incredible alignment we have with state leadership, particularly Gov. Kehoe and Sen. Schmitt, who have clearly demonstrated their support and recognition of the economic impact and brand development power of Mizzou Athletics for the State of Missouri," Veatch continued.

Following this partnership with Learfield, Mizzou reported that its average sponsorship deal size has increased by nearly 140% since 2025.

In a press release, Mizzou said that its new partnership with Learfield has also attracted a wide variety of new opportunities, including with brands like DoorDash, Kingsford, Geico and other blue-chip brands.

Mizzou's new jersey patches will debut in the football team's season opener on Sept. 3 against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
