Tracking Monday evening storms, ahead of more rain Tuesday

TONIGHT: Chances for isolated storms continue into the evening, with any development have strong to severe potential. Overall, many will stay dry, but watch the radar if you have outdoor plans. Activity will wane after sunset, and temperatures will fall into the upper 60s by sunrise.

TOMORROW: More thunderstorms developing to our north overnight, will arrive on our doorstep by Tuesday morning. A decaying complex of showers and storms will likely arrive in our northwest counties close to sunrise. This cluster will be actively weakening, but as it passes through the area we cannot rule out isolated severe impacts, primarily in the form of gusty winds and small hail. This will bring potential for measurable rainfall, and keep highs limited. Showers and storms will make it across the region, from Brunswick to Rolla, by early afternoon. This will leave a short window in the afternoon to get temperatures back into the middle and upper 80s.

EXTENDED: Wednesday will warm as warm air moves into the region from the southwest. We'll see temperatures climb into the low-to-mid 90s. Mostly dry conditions should present with partly cloudy skies, but we can't rule out a low chance for storms. We'll also keep a low chance for storms on Thursday, before drier and cooler air potential arrive on Friday. We'll see temps trend towards upper 80s into the weekend, with potential for drier conditions lasting into Sunday. Confidence is low in early next week, but rain chances could return Sunday into Monday.
