Tracking strong to severe storms Friday evening and Saturday afternoon

Tonight: Scattered storms begin after 5PM this afternoon with the potential of becoming strong to severe shortly after lasting into the overnight hours. The primary impacts look to be winds up to 70 MPH, hail up to 2" in diameter, and brief downpours. Overnight lows cool to the lower 70s.

Tomorrow: Saturday morning sees scattered showers and storms in the morning with the potential for stronger showers and storms developing after 2PM lasting through Midnight. The main impacts for the Weather Alert Day issued for Saturday includes winds up to 60 MPH, hail up to 1" in diameter, and brief heavy downpours. The afternoon highs climbs to the upper 80s nearing 90.

Extended: Scattered showers and storms linger into Sunday as the severe risk diminish early Sunday morning. Monday sees partly cloudy skies with scattered evening storms. Tuesday for the fourth, Mid-Missouri can expect more scattered showers and storms during the evening hours.
