Tracking a slim chance for rain into the weekend

THIS AFTERNOON: Highs near 70 with partly cloudy skies. It's a largely dry day today, until a cold front approaches from the west. This will only manage to bring spotty shower activity from west to east from about 7 p.m. tonight through the overnight hours.

TONIGHT: The dying cold front is slow to pass through, but this won't mean a lot of rain as most activity with this front dies on arrival.

EXTENDED: This all pushes east early Saturday, and we'll enjoy another partly cloudy day with temperatures in the mid-to-upper 60s. Low pressure associated with the rain from Friday night will spin back in from the north and bring another chance for spotty showers Saturday night. From here, it's dry weather with sunshine daily. Fair weather clouds will pepper the sky each day, but no rain chances are expected until at the very earliest Thursday. Temperatures will slowly climb from the low 60s on Sunday, into the 70s by the end of the work week.
