Tracking accumulating snow moving in by tomorrow night

TONIGHT: Mostly clear to partly cloudy with lows in the lower 20s.

TOMORROW: Increasing clouds and chilly with highs in the lower 40s.

EXTENDED: Tomorrow morning's commute will be fine, but clouds start to increase during the day ahead of our next low pressure system. Temperatures reach the mid-40s by afternoon, and precipitation will take a bit of time to reach our area due to dry air in the lower levels of the atmosphere along with the slowing of the low pressure. I am expecting an onset of precipitation from southwest to northeast between 8-10:00 p.m.. Given the later start time, there will likely be less rain at the front end, and generally uniform snow showers overnight into Tuesday morning. Snow will likely be light, but one or two bands of more steady snow could set up north of I-70. This is where we could end up with 2-3" by Tuesday morning. South of I-70, we can expect a trace to about 2". Snow showers will end by mid-morning, but impacts may be felt through midday as temperatures start out around 30 on Tuesday morning and only manage to make it to the upper 30s by afternoon. We could see a few flurries with another system to our north on Wednesday, but no impacts are expected there. The rest of the week is chilly with highs in the 30s and lows falling into the teens as we get into the weekend. Looking ahead, we might end up with a slight warm up heading into Thanksgiving week.
