Tracking intense heat and lots of sunshine this week

TONIGHT: Quiet and warm conditions expected this evening as clouds clear overnight. Lows dropping to the low 70s.

TOMORROW: The thermometer will climb significantly into the mid to upper 90s tomorrow, with feels-like temps reaching the low triple digit mark. We'll see some cloud cover which could offer some temporary relief, but there will be plenty of sunshine as well.

EXTENDED: Persistent high pressure throughout the week will keep temperatures just shy of 100 degrees throughout the week. Heat indexes will push into the triple digits, though for the moment we do look to be out of the extreme heat range. These high temps will be accompanied by lots of sunshine. Rain chances are very sparse, save for a slight pop-up chance towards the end of the week as we see a slight breakdown in our weather pattern. Temps will cool slightly, but still remain in the 90s into next weekend.
