Tracking big temperature swings this week

TONIGHT: Increasing clouds with temperatures falling into the mid-40s.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy and breezy with spotty showers possible, highs in the mid-60s.

EXTENDED: Clouds begin to increase tonight ahead of a warm front that will push in from the west. Clouds keep us in the mid-upper 40s overnight, with a southeasterly breeze getting us into the mid-60s Tuesday. A few showers will be possible during the day, but widespread rain isn't expected. Wednesday and Thursday will be very warm with highs reaching near records in the upper 70s on Wednesday. Wednesday night could give us another record warm low in the morning Thursday as we fall to around 60. We could make the 70s again Thursday before a cold front brings in much cooler air for the end of the week. A few showers will be possible, but rain amounts will likely land around a tenth of an inch. Friday morning is chilly with lows in the mid 30s and a wind chill in the mid-20s. We only manage to make the mid-40s for highs on Friday. The weekend is looking dry and breezy, but morning wind chills on Saturday and Sunday will likely be in the low teens, with highs hovering around 40. The cool pattern is expected to stick around into much of next week.
