Tracking a few sprinkles to wrap up the workweek

TODAY: Friday is another dry and windy day, with sustained winds in the 15-20 mph range, and gusts as high as 30 mph. Steady sunshine will lower humidity enough that critical fire weather will again be in place for most. Read more on that here. By the late afternoon, a boundary slides in from the north bringing more cloud cover and may bring a few sprinkles to a light shower with it. Overall, no meaningful precipitation is forecast, but it may be enough to make you want to keep an umbrella handy. Otherwise expect a breezy fall day with a high near 70.

TONIGHT: Tonight, high pressure slides in behind the boundary. This likely won't clear out all clouds, but it will calm winds a bit. Temperatures cool to near 40 by sunrise.

EXTENDED: Saturday is partly cloudy to mostly sunny again thanks to some high clouds. Expect a high near 65. Highs reach the mid-60s again on Sunday, with more sunshine as the high pressure moves out. This will draw in more wind from the north, making Sunday another breezy day. Monday will be gusty too, but neither day quite approaches the winds we'll feel on Friday. Temperatures settle into the 50s for the early half of next week, despite daily sunshine.
