Tracking less muggy air
TODAY: Showers this morning will continue to diminish through sunrise. Partly cloudy skies will remain, if not mostly cloudy south of I-70 where the best rain has remained overnight. Closer to I-44, residual moisture will lead to the chance for isolated storms this afternoon. Highs this afternoon climb into the mid-80s, while dewpoints land in the 50s for some in the north, and low 60s for those in the south.
TONIGHT: With continued north winds, humidity will remain low overnight, and temperatures will likely fall into the mid-60s.
EXTENDED: Wednesday looks even less humid, with 50 degree dewpoints becoming more widespread. Mostly sunny skies get us into the mid 80s on Wednesday, and low 90s on Thursday. Friday through Saturday, we'll see more clouds in the forecast, and temperatures will likely flirt with the 90s. Chances for rain just barely make it into the forecast on Sunday, but at the moment, the weekend looks largely dry, with temperatures approaching low 90s. Low level high pressure just to our east from Wednesday until the weekend will start to give-way by the weekend, allowing warmer temperatures and more humidity to get closer and closer. If this trend continues, we could see temperatures a bit higher by Saturday and Sunday, with rain chances increasing by Monday.
